Members of the Rochdale Borough High Street Foundation
The Rochdale Borough High Street Foundation was launched on 15 February 2012 by Reggae Reggae star Levi Roots to enable local businesses to work together with Rochdale Council to create vibrarnt and sustainable high streets now and in the future.

Over 200 businesses have now joined the Foundation and meetings are held on a 6 weekly basis to share ideas and see action within the borough's high streets and town centres.

Membership and principles

Members of the Foundation include retailers, cafes, bars, restaurants, market traders, estate agents, recruitment agencies, solicitors and accountants. These members work together to stimulate more creative and social activities around retail and leisure focusing on the arts, music and heritage.

There are 8 distinct principles the Foundation work towards:

  • Working together
  • Enhancing the street scene
  • Marketing
  • Animation and events
  • Accessibility
  • Attracting investment
  • Evening economy
  • Safe and secure environments 
The Chair of the Foundation is Paul Clark of CJ Architects and Greg Couzens is the Vice Chair.
